Promotional Video Norwich – Future Forest

Forestry England Promotional Video

Promotional video is a great way to increase your brand awareness and to increase sales but occasionally these products serve a much wider purpose. Forestry England is responsible for managing and promoting the nation’s forests owned by the Government of the United Kingdom. Our latest promotional video not only worked as a great creative marketing tool to showcase a diverse set of art installations by acclaimed artists, Tom Piper & Lisa Wright, but also as a Legacy video to historically document the installations before they were removed from the heart of Thetford Forest.

Future Forest, developed as part of centenary celebrations in 2019 and featured life-size sculptural figures strategically positioned in forest trails from September 2019 – September 2020. The artists present the figures as custodians of the forest, tasked with protecting it for the benefit of future generations. The promotional video produced by Norwich based Blanc Creative illustrated the vital role that trees and woodlands play in safeguarding the future of our planet, their youthful forms aligning them with the next generation whose role it must be to continue to protect our forests. At Blanc Creative we produce compelling promotional videos that captivate audiences, inspire action and drive results for businesses and brands. Content that your customers will love. This very same content provides our customers with a bespoke creative film for brands, products and services. We have been working commercially for over a decade delivering commercial photography, professional drone footage and compelling promotional videos So what’s the big secret to effective promotional videos? It’s creating content that’s interesting & useful. By creating content that captivates and connects viewers emotionally you can deliver your core messages effectively.

To find out more about each Future Forest art installation, we’ve put together a separate Blog with some great photographs, so why not head over to our Future Forest Photography Page

Festival Video Production

Festival video production is about engaging those customers who have attended your concert or festival and setting the scene for future years. Contrary to public belief, it’s not about grabbing a few minutes of headline acts during their set. After all, unless the artist is booked again for the next year, this type of footage has a pretty limited life span. High quality Festival Video Production highlights the atmosphere and fun but also helps to promote future festivals. Video is proven to be the highest form of engagement currently on social media and forms an awesome marketing tool for engaging growth on social media platforms. It’s also a great way to direct people to your business and website.

The concept of Festival Video Production isn’t new, especially with thousands of people uploading smart phone videos of their festival experiences, but high quality Festival Video Production takes your event to the next level. We’ve been working closely with Forestry Commission over the past five years and in 2018, undertook the first promotional Concert Video Production of Forest Live 2018.

Forest Live Concerts

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission, bringing you music without commercial branding or sponsorship. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on improving the local forests for both people and wildlife. With everything required for a great night out, including full catering and bar facilities, the concerts are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere.

How does it work?

Or team has a lots of experience in the area of Video Production. Our process starts with planning your video. It’s important that we gain an insight of exactly how you’d like your production to look. We could shoot a huge amount of content of your festival or concert, but a little knowledge of your vision is an important first step before we film. Your ideas will also allow to work with you to ascertain the level of access we require on-site and to allow for all Health & Safety Assessments to be completed long before we arrive to start work.

Once we’ve shot your awesome Festival Video, we begin the process of editing in our studio. We would usually deliver a teaser trailer, that would fit perfectly on social media sites, grabbing the attention of your audience and directing them to the site where you main video would be hosted.

Forest Live Festival Video Production

Our Festival Video Production for Forestry Commission and Forest Live was shot over four days with an emphasis on a number of key areas that make Forest Live Concerts unique;

*Forest Live Concerts are held in the most beautiful of Forests and are organised by Forestry Commission. The Concerts are hidden gems in the festival calendar. The BBC actually took great pleasure in announcing that Kasabian had played an Event ‘in an actual Forest’

*The concerts are a ‘Family orientated’ series of Events that encourage everybody from toddlers to grandparents to attend.

*An emphasis on a well structured, professional set of concerts, where staff are approachable, promoting a safe environment for every type of individual to attend.

Aerial Drone Filming

At Blanc Creative, we operate a licensed Drones to capture Aerial Footage of Festivals and Concerts. Festival Video Production using a Drone is not as expensive as you may think and from a creative aspect, drone footage allows a completely different aspect of your Event with spectacular birds eye views. There are lots of safety implications and restrictions flying at festivals and it’s really super important that you employ a Drone Operator who is licensed, has public liability and professional indemnity insurance and has a proven track record operating commercially. To read more about Licensed Drones, we have a great article that can be found by clicking here.

Inside Snetterton Biomass Power Plant

Norfolk Drone Services

Snetterton Biomass Power Plant

The latest Biomass renewable energy plant to open in the UK was the Snetterton Biomass Power Plant. It sits on the Norfolk Suffolk border and officially opened in 2017.  The Plant was developed by BWSC East Anglia (also known as Beale). It is one of 15-20 similar sized biomass plants that are operating or under construction in the UK. Snetterton is a state of the art Renewable Energy Facility.

What is Biomass?

It uses straw supplemented by Miscanthus, Woodchip and OSR to produce seriously clean energy.  The plant works in much the same way as a coal fired power station. The difference between using biomass and coal or other fossil fuels is simply that the carbon released through burning biomass has only very recently been absorbed from the environment. It is part of the existing carbon cycle.

In common with other biomass materials straw biomasses all capture energy and CO2 through the process of photosynthesis as they grow, and when burned as a fuel release only the same amount of CO2 they captured, back into the atmosphere. Biomass is much better for the environment than coal and other fossil fuels as the carbon dioxide being released is not ‘new’. This means that the COin the straw being burned is already part of our balanced atmosphere as it was only relatively recently absorbed by those same plants. Fossil fuels however release CO2 which was absorbed thousands of years ago and so is not part of today’s atmosphere, adding to the CO2 levels which are part of the cause of global warming.

The carbon from fossil fuels was absorbed millions of years ago so when released adds to the carbon in the atmosphere. Biomass is burnt at really high temperatures with this heat used to turn water into steam which then powers a turbine generating electricity. Energy is then carried by cable to the national grid to be used across the region. The output generates enough electricity to power 82,000 homes.  Snetterton Biomass Power Plant burns just over 250 kilotons every year at full capacity with fuel sourced locally from farmers within a 50 mile radius. In plain terms.

Supporting the Local Economy

One of the key benefits of the Snetterton Biomass Power Plant was the positive impact it had on employment in the local area. The Snetterton Power Plant employs the vast majority of their workforce. Sucha We know that our Energy Plant is also an excellent educational resource so they continue to welcome schools, colleges, universities and interested groups on tours of the facility. If you think that your group would be interested in finding out more about how our Energy Plant operates, the biomass fuels we use, or any other part of what we do, then please do let us know and we will do our best to welcome you.

From the very outset, the plant had a focus on building positive relationships with the local community. The vast majority of the workforce were from the local community and local businesses were sourced to provide to provide from office supplies, construction materials, taxis and procurement of Commercial Photography services and Video Production form Lee Blanchflower Limited, itself, a Norwich based business.

As Snetterton Biomass Power Plant Prepared for it’s official opening, the Lee Blanchflower Team were given privileged access to the very heart of the Renewable Energy Plant and assigned the task of documenting the Plant with three key areas of imagery including Commercial Photography, Corporate Video Production & Aerial Drone Filming. This was an exciting opportunity to combine the three key elements of our business to produce a short film showcasing a “Field to Fuel” overview of the process that makes the Snetterton Biomass Power Plant so special. Colman’s Mustard 200th Bicentenary

Colman’s Mustard Mark 200th Bicentenary with Pop up Restaurant in Home City of Norwich

To mark its 200th anniversary, Colman’s Mustard celebrated great British food by creating Britain’s ultimate comfort dish…Sausage Macerole. To launch the new fusion dish, Colman’s opened the comfort canteen in its hometown, Norwich. The comfort canteen was officially opened by the Sheriff of Norwich, for one day only, serving up hundreds of complimentary dishes of the new Sausage Macerole. Blanc Creative were assigned to cover the landmark celebrations delivering commercial photography and a video production to mark the celebrations held in Norwich City Centre.

Colmans Mustard 200th Bicentenary

This month, Colman’s is celebrating its bicentenary, just seven years after the future of the UK’s only home-grown spice came under serious threat. Norwich has been the home of Colman’s mustard for 200 years. The factory now employs over 120 people and each year more than 2,000 tonnes of mustard seed is dried, dressed and milled into flour on site. However, just seven years ago the future looked very different for English mustard and its growers. Colman’s was faced with the prospect of importing far more ¬foreign seeds, jeopardising its right to continue labelling its mustard ‘English’. While today 100 per cent of the white seed that is used to make Colman’s English Mustard comes from Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk, in 2007 growers based in these areas had one of their worst crop yields on record. This was down to years of lack of investment in plant breeding, dwindling harvests and poor weather. Meeting with the growers, Unilever agreed to invest £20,000 into agronomy support and into DNA testing research work at the John Innes Centre in Norwich. The brand’s bicentenary year, 2014, was set as the deadline to see if they could turn the tide. If they did not succeed, they decided they would no longer grow mustard. Thankfully they did and the English mustard market is still alive and thriving.
